 The SEARHC Ethel Lund Medical Center, Juneau, Alaska is searching for a full-time family physician with OB to join a great medical staff, primarily serving Alaska Native/Native American patients in the hospital and clinic.  Have the best of both worlds by joining our practice where hospital duties are shared and our remaining time is in an outpatient clinic with great staff and excellent quality of life.  We have the opportunity to practice full spectrum family medicine with easy access to consultants when we need them. Maintain all your skills learned in residency and expand them further with support from our tertiary care center, Alaska Native Medical Center.
The ideal provider has a passion for high quality primary care, emphasizing continuity, developing lasting caring relationships with a panel of patients, maximizing prevention and health promotion strategies, and managing complex chronic medical conditions.
The vast majority of your patients’ needs will be available on site:  The clinic has pharmacy, laboratory, radiology, physical therapy and optometry on site, as well as integrated health educators, nutritionist, behavioral health consultant, and others.  The clinic medical team of 14 consists of FP OB’s, pediatrician, internal medicine, PA and NP’s.  Behavioral Health and Dental are nearby on the campus.
The Ethel Lund Clinic is focused on the Patient Centered Medical Home model, quality improvement, and using the Indian Health Service EHR.  Standard paid time off starts at 7 weeks per year and 1 to 2 weeks of CME with annual stipend.  Retirement benefits start immediately at 5% per year.  The clinic partners with University of Washington and several residency program so teaching opportunities are available. The clinic is a loan repayment site for Indian Health Service and National Health Service Corps.  Complete malpractice coverage is included.
Work in Southeast Alaska with access to amazing winter and summer recreational activities.  Live in the state capital with access to theater, concerts, annual musical festivals and quick travel to other communities by ferry or plane.
