Community Family Services Worker Trainee I
Pay: $13.34/hour+ DOE

Position Summary:

The purpose of this position is to provide beginning level individual supportive counseling, prevention and administrative services to individuals and families impacted by a variety of mental health and substance use issues. Under the supervision of a licensed provider, these positions are in Community Health Services, Behavioral Health Division and are located in one of the communities served by the CFS program.

Qualification Requirements:
*High school diploma or GED.
*Specific training relating to duties must be provided by the Consortium before employee performs work. It is expected that persons working under this job description bring a variety of experience and skill to the work, which will shape the particular areas of emphasis. A developmental approach is used to encourage persons to move into expanded duties as their skills increase through training.

Other:
*21 years of age or older.
*Commitment to live in village/service area or be able to commute to the location for 3 to 5 years.
*Attend continuing education/training programs in Sitka or elsewhere for about 3 weeks per year to meet certification requirements.
*One year demonstrated experience of working effectively and positively with people.
*Valid Alaska driver's license preferred.

Community Family Services Worker Trainee II
Pay: $14.21/hour+ DOE

Position Summary:

The purpose of this position is to provide individual supportive counseling, prevention and administrative services beyond the beginning level to individuals and families impacted by a variety of mental health and substance use issues. Having had 50 hours of training, this position can assume a small caseload and can work under fewer hours of supervision weekly. Under the supervision of a licensed provider, this position is in Community Health Services, Behavioral Health Division and is located in one of the communities served by the CFS program.

Pay: $15.24/hour+ DOE

Position Summary:

The purpose of this position is to provide individual supportive counseling, prevention and administrative services beyond the beginning level to individuals and families impacted by a variety of mental health and substance use issues. This position is in Community Health Services, Behavioral Health Division, located in one of the communities served by the CFS program.

Qualification Requirements:
*High school diploma or GED.
*Specific training relating to duties must be provided by the Consortium before employee performs work. It is expected that persons working under this job description bring a variety of experience and skill to the work, which will shape the particular areas of emphasis. A developmental approach is used to encourage persons to move into expanded duties as their skills increase through training.
*1.5 years experience working effectively in a Behavioral Health setting with at least 6 months of experience in Chemical Dependency Treatment.
*Specific training relating to duties must be provided by the Consortium before employee performs work. It is expected that persons working under this job description bring a variety of experience and skill to the work, which will shape the particular areas of emphasis.
*A developmental approach is used to encourage persons to move into expanded duties as their skills increase through training.
*Alaska State Chemical Dependency Counselor Technician Certification.

OHER:
*18 months demonstrated experience of working effectively and positively with people.

Community Family Service Worker I
Pay: $17.46/hour+ DOE

Position Summary:

The purpose of this position is to provide individual supportive counseling, prevention and administrative services beyond the beginning level to individuals, families and groups impacted by a variety of mental health and substance use issues. This position is in Community Health Services, Behavioral Health Division, located in one of the communities served by the CFS program.

Qualification Requirements:
*High school diploma or GED.
*A total of at least 270 training hours in behavioral health are required.
*Two classes that are specifically required are 16 hours of Introduction to Co-Occurring Disorders and 6 hours of Alaska History of Chemical Dependency.
*A supervised practicum of 150 hours in behavioral health with a chemical dependency counselor is also required.
*Two years full-time chemical dependency work experience.
*Alaska Commission for Behavioral Health Certification (ACBHC) Chemical Dependency Counselor I (CDC I) or its equivalent from another entity or eligible for Chemical Dependency Counselor I (CDC I) certification at time of original hire.

This position is in Community Health Services, Behavioral Health Division, located in one of the communities served by the CFS program.

Qualification Requirements:
*High school diploma or GED.
*A total of at least 270 training hours in behavioral health are required.
*Three years full-time chemical dependency work experience, up to one year may be substituted through a B.S./B.A. degree in a field of human services.
*Alaska Commission for Behavioral Health Certification (ACBHC) Chemical Dependency Counselor I (CDC I) or its equivalent from another entity or eligible for Chemical Dependency Counselor I (CDC I) certification at time of original hire.
*A supervised practicum of 300 hours in the field of chemical dependency services is required.

*Associate of Arts degree in Human Service related field.
*Four years full-time chemical dependency work experience, up to one year may be substituted through a B.A. or B.S. degree in the field of human services.
