The CHATC/CHAP Director is responsible for the administration of the SEARHC CHA Training Center and the SEARHC CHAP program; serves as a state-wide liaison; provides program direction, development and leadership; supervises special projects; oversees the activities of the MLP/CHAP Educators (clinical instructors), and the education, training and recruitment of the CHA/Ps; Serves as the Instructor of Record for each Session taught at the training center; teaches and provides medical and clinical instruction; provides direct patient care as an MLP provider; acts as in-house and external consultant regarding CHA training, scope of practice and CHAP program issues. Position located in Community Health Services, Sitka.
Baseline Qualification Requirements:
*National certification as Mid-Level Practitioner (Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner). Required to meet an existing RAC standard for the responsibilities as Director, Instructor of Record and as a Clinical Instructor.
*Administrative/management duties of one year.
*Practicing Mid-Level Practitioner (PA-C/FNP) in a primary care setting for two years.
*Teaching CHA/Ps in CHAP Training Center or other formal medical education setting for one year.
*Must have National Certification as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner
*Must receive and maintain state licensure to retain position within 60 days of hire.
*Current Alaska State PA or NP licensing
*ACLS / PALS
